Emma Lou's Week in Review

A week ago, we were introduced to our little baby girl, our gift from above. It's been quite a week, lots of learning for both Emma and her parents. Here's what we've learned so far:

::Emma is on her own schedule, she doesn't really care what we want to do::
::She loves to cuddle::
::She loves to stretch out her legs like a ballerina::
::The Newborn Lounger is our best friend::
::If you let her get too hungry, she goes after you like a mad scientist::
:: We have over 400 pictures of her so far::
::She's a noisy sleeper::
::It takes her an hour or so to wake up from her long naps::
::She hates baths::
::Had her fingernails clipped and no blood was drawn (go mama)::
::Has been loved on by her grandparents, aunties, and cousins::
::Was visited by the Millers and the Bishops::
::Weighs 8 pounds, 6 ounces and is still 21 inches::
::First doctor's appointment was a success::
::FINALLY took some family pictures::
::loving having daddy home this week::
::is getting on a schedule already (slept for 5 hours last night!)::
::loves kangaroo time with her daddy and mama::
::already doesn't fit into the newborn sized sleepers::
::parents are still delirious with love and overwhelmed with joy::

PS I started this blog post on Monday and didn't finish until today. I am starting to realize that I'd rather spend time with Emma, but I do want to document all of her fun for her and our family and friends.
