Emma's First Easter

Four Generations of first born girls

Happy Easter from the Schleys

Comforting my sassy girl
Emma's first Easter was so nice. We were able to Skype with her Grandma and Grandpa Schley and hang out with Auntie Heather, Ama, and GG for dinner. Emma was a little overstimulated thus fussy, and conked out before 7pm. She wore a dress given to her by J's cousin's fiance, Lauren, whom I affectionately call 'Un' and a bow from my friend Sarah. She got an Easter basket that was consumed by her parents since Easter candy isn't good for babies.

I am looking to get Emma baptized into the Catholic faith soon. Both Jonathan and I were raised Catholic and although we haven't been practicing, I feel it a necessary step for Emma. We just have to find Godparents, one of whom was baptized and confirmed Catholic.

Emma's umbilical cord fell off... well, was coaxed off today. She's three weeks old and already starting to change again. She's so chunky and I love kissing her fat little cheeks. She's started to smile, not from gas, but from being talked to first thing in the morning. I have only two more weeks left with her before heading back to work. I am looking forward to having some time to myself to do other things than be a mom. Don't get me wrong, I adore being Emma's mama, but I was not made to stay at home. I think I am glad to go back, also, because it's only for three weeks. Then, I get my Lou Lou back for 9 weeks!
