Christmas is the time of year...

... for being with the ones you love...

I think my favorite thing about this Christmas is that it's my first with J. We get to start Christmas traditions of our own and it's the first time we've spent the holiday together. This morning, we made Æbleskiver, bacon and eggs.

I made two batches of the Æbleskiver, one with blueberries and one with chocolate chips (my personal favorite). We even used the Danish China I got while I was in Denmark in 2005. Now, my kitchen is spotless, the dishes are clean and put away, my house smells great. Kobe is asleep, still tired from Christmas Eve and J is watching 'The Hangover' while I look at pictures and soak in the day. This is what the holidays should be about. Family and happiness.
