Mother's Day and the Return...

My first Mother's Day was awesome. I spent the morning with my family and made breakfast, played games and chatted. We came home and J made me a great dinner. Emma got me a massage and a heart necklace with her name and birthdate engraved. It was the perfect day before the return to work.

When we went to the pediatrician last week, I made mention that I was going back to work. Dr. Smith looked at me and clearly stated that I had been working the past 5 weeks and now I was going to work OUTSIDE the home. Yet another reason I am a huge fan of him. Going back to work has not been as hard as I previously anticipated. It helps to work with wonderful people and to have a group of amazing students. However, I find myself thinking of Emma during the day quite often. I have her pictures on my white board. Whenever I look at them, I smile and think of how much I would rather be with her. Luckily, I only have a few more weeks left before summer and my return to stay at home mama. J is doing an amazing job with her and sends me pictures to include me in her day although I am not home with them. I find myself rushing home after school to be with my family, because there is nothing better in the world.
Daddy makes me laugh!

Isn't she lovely?
