Sick babies are the saddest thing. Sick husbands fill the second spot. Sick mommies are down at the bottom of that list.
Looking back at this week, I can see the tidal wave of sickness that finally enveloped all of us. Meals missed, longer sleeps, lots of sniffles and a symphony of coughing.
I took Emma to the doctor on Thursday and she diagnosed our tubby with strep. She said, in slight amazement that this is the second youngest case she's seen. Great. J and I had a date night planned, but we spent the dinner portion of it at the pharmacy which was completely fine. We just wanted her to get better. J was also sick, but it seemed like it was going to be ok.
Fast forward to this morning. J and Emma slept until 8am... Emma fell asleep at 4:30pm yesterday, woke briefly for meds and food and went back to bed. I woke up this morning with achy hips, a sinus pressure headache, and cough. J sounds like he has an elephant sitting on his chest. Emma seems better, though, which is the bright spot in the day. I think we all have a variation of the same crap.
Staying in all weekend, maybe leaving the house for groceries.
