I.AM.AWESOME.

Yesterday, I did something I never thought I COULD do. I completed a half marathon. I even did it under 3 hours, which was the original goal. I could have done it quicker but at mile 8 my knee gave out and made it harder to run.

I have to say, all the people on the sidelines cheering us on was awesome. So was seeing Jamie and Stephanie pass us. Those hugs were needed. I even saw one of my friends from junior high, Dianne!

I was happy to run with Cara and Colleen. It made the journey more fun.

It was also amazing to have so many people waiting for me at the finish line. My mom, sister, niece, husband and daughter were there. Coming down the finish line and seeing them was just the kick I needed.

Anything is possible. I gave birth 7 months ago. I always cheered on my sister, but thought I could and would never run a half marathon.

I'm grateful for all the texts and messages on Facebook. Thanks for believing in me.

Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm icing my knee (with my sweet hot/cold pack that Cara made), taking Advil, and enjoying my cup of coffee because I'm not going to work today. It's about time I spent a whole day with my baby where it's just us and not a list of stuff to do.
