J was gone this week to a conference, so it was just Emma, Kobe, and I. Let me tell ya, I'm exhausted. We did a lot of fun things this week, but we are so happy that daddy will be home today.
Our Bountiful Basket is almost gone. Yesterday, I juiced the grapefruits for breakfast (which was SOOOO GOOD) and juiced all the limes last night so I can make some limeade tomorrow. I used an old school juicer that my mom had gotten me for my 30th birthday. She used to make me real lemonade because it helped with my constant (and embarrassing) nosebleeds when I was a kid. I tried to zest the limes too, but I only have a regular grater and it was NOT working. I gave up. I'm pretty proud that we have not wasted any of the past two BB's that we've gotten.

I had to hit up Costco yesterday because our cabinets are bare. Emma and I had to get creative last night for dinner. I should have taken a picture of her tray for dinner. It was a cluster eff of food. Costco freaks me out. It's overwhelming, and people can be awfully rude. But, I have a full pantry for a while, so I'm happy. Plus, I didn't have to take Emma with me which was a relief. She is not a fan of sitting still.

| Watching the haboob! |
Last night we had a dust storm which cooled off the outside enough for us to hang out. Emma got sufficiently dirty and loved being outside instead of stuck inside because of the heat. Today, we got to go hang out at Ama and Papa's. Emma and Davin are now getting to be friends instead of bitter enemies. They fight, but they were able to stay in a bathtub together and not try to drown the other.

| Kobe just wants daddy home |
Daddy got an earlier flight home which makes me happy. It was nice to have some alone time with Emma, but next time it can be for a few hours instead of a week. It was nice to get some flowers at work from him, but I would much rather have him home. This weekend is going to be a quiet one for the Schley family.
