The Cookie Verdict

So I made the cookies yesterday. The real test of a cookie is how it tastes the next day. These cookies are pretty amazing. The only change I made to the recipe was to just dump and entire bag of chocolate chips into the dough. I just had one (yep, at 9am on a Sunday) and it continued to be delicious. Soft, chewy, and chocolatey. This recipe is a keeper. And the half batch makes plenty. Next week, I'll make them more bite sized.

The marinara recipe with the San Marzano tomatoes is a keeper, too. Even though I dropped a mason jar FULL of marinara all over my kitchen floor. Yep, tomato sauce EVERYWHERE. It's ok. I still have another mason jar full of the yummy goodness and my floor needed to be cleaned anyway. Good thing we have a baby gate for the kitchen. Glass and marinara are not good for tiny feet. I think I'm going to make some garlic bread and use the marinara as dip, kind of like Oregano's Kick Butt Garlic Bread, but better.

Mama I'll lick up all the sauce for ya....

Okay, okay. I need to keep writing my curriculum guide for a class I'm taking before Emma wakes up. Procrastination at it's finest, here folks.
