I cannot believe that June is almost over! I have loved, loved, loved staying at home with the Lou Baby. We are finally on a 3-4 hour schedule which makes life a lot easier for me and also for Emma. She seems a lot happier, which I never thought was possible. We get out of the house (only in the mornings) and she lasts the whole time we are out without complaint or needing to eat. We had to make a run to Buy Buy Baby to get a breathable bumper because Emma is now moving around in her crib. We will lay her down in one position and the next morning she has done a complete 180. She's now rolling on her side during her morning floor time and making G and B sounds.
Since the weather has been in the 110's, I've been very careful about taking her outside. Not that we stay in the house all day every day because we don't, but I space out my errands so that we aren't going in and out all day. Today we are going to GG's for the afternoon for Emma's first whine, wine, and pizza date with GG and Aunt Heather. Tomorrow, we have her first play date with her future best friends, Hayden and Taylor and some much needed Mama/Bex time. Tomorrow is also our monthly date night! Ama and Papa will be heading over so that J and I can go see a movie and go to dinner. It's nice because not only does it give J and I some time to reconnect, but it gives my parents some time with Emma.
Our to do list is growing! Next week, Emma and I are heading out on a plane! So much to pack and so much to worry about. Luckily, I will have some help with my sister coming along. I know I'm stressing out and in the end it will all be fine. I plan on buying essentials, like diapers and wipes, while we are there instead of packing them, but I want to make sure to have the things we use on a daily basis that would be a waste to buy again, like clothes or burp rags. Hopefully I don't get so involved in packing for her that I forget what I need. I should probably start a list.
This week, I have also started to really work out again. My goal is to work out 3-4 times a week from now until the end of July, even while on vacation. Then, I am starting a walk to run program followed by a 10k training program. I used to love running right before I got pregnant. Plus, I need to lose these last 6 pounds and tone up my body. My plan is by December to look better than I did prior to getting pregnant, which is a pretty tall order because I looked my best the summer I got pregnant. I focus more on my BMI instead of my weight. Right now, I am in the normal range, but I want to have a BMI of 22 which means losing 2 points. I've been reading "The Mommy Diet" by Alison Sweeney and using that as my guide. Part of the 'program' is to do nice things for yourself, which I like because it allows me to focus on myself for a little bit. So far, I've gotten my hair cut (which I hate and will never go back to that salon. $55 and having to come home and fix it myself is not worth it), bought my face cream (that is AMAZING) and plan to schedule a massage sometime soon.
Ah, the lazy days of summer.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason you got pregnant is because you looked so good...? :)
