After a few nasty blow-outs, we've changed to size 2 diapers and to the 3-6 month clothing. Mind you, my child is only 9 weeks of age. She's such a chunker and I love it! She's a healthy baby girl who sleeps 11 hours at night and smiles all day long. We have our 2 month doctor's appointment today, so I am excited to see how big my baby is! I'm betting close to 14 pounds since 4 weeks ago she was 11 pounds, 5 oz. She seems so much bigger everyday I wake up to her sweet little smile. I love that Emma wakes up and just kind of hangs out in her crib until I come in to get her. Then, once she sees me I get a big smile.
After going to the doctor, I can say I was right! Emma is 14 pounds, 4 oz and 24.25 inches long! Girl is staying in the 97th percentile!
I can say that I was not a fan of the vaccinations at the doctor's appointment. I actually left the room and walked across the office, but once I heard her scream I went right back. I can't bear to hear her cry in pain, which is originally why I left. I will say that besides the screaming and whimpering on the way home, she took them like a champ! She woke up once during the night (which she doesn't ever do) to nurse, mostly out of comfort. I know this because she smiled and laughed the whole time, little stinker. She has to do it again at her 4 month appointment, which I think her daddy will take her to. I fully believe in vaccinating my child, I just don't like the pain associated with it.
at least you didn't start crying when she got her shots! I DID!! (and I freaking give shots all days long - couldn't handle it!)
ReplyDeleteyour baby sounds like a good sleeper too!! isn't it blisssss??? do you know how lucky you are!? I have friends with 2 year olds who don't even make it through the night (God help them)
