Spring Break- Countdown to Emma- Day One

I've decided to blog each day until our baby girl gets here so she can see all the fun stuff we did before we became parents!

Today, the nesting instinct kicked in to super overdrive. Jonathan and I did our 'apocalypse' grocery shopping which for many is a normal trip, but for us in a once every few months thing. Once we got home, we decided that cleaning out the pantry would be a novel idea. This included making a pile of 'Goodwill' stuff and momma looking at all the expiration dates on everything, including the stuff in the fridge. Then, I decided that mopping the floors would be an good idea while J ran our old stuff to Goodwill. Now, I just have to wait for it to dry. I'm exhausted physically, but I want to keep going. I think this afternoon will be a good time for me to start on the scrapbooks my mom made for me. So much for relaxing. It is really nice to spend some time with my husband and makes plans as we see fit, or not.

We also have a Target trip planned today. I have a few more things to get prior to Emma's arrival and thanks to Kelly, I know that I need to grab a few more things. Kelly just had a baby girl too, and has been such a great help with the little things that I don't think of. I'm going to clean up the paperwork in the office and just start getting things ready for... well... for whatever. It's not like Emma needs a clean office to exist. But, right now, I do.

I've also made a list of snacks and meals to eat when she gets here that are good for me and good for her. It's getting out of control.

Our doctor's appointment yesterday was disappointing because it was another boring one. I'll start getting checked on Wednesday. No preeclampsia or Group B strep, which is a great thing. We are just now waiting for the water to break or contractions to be between 3-5 minutes for at least 45 seconds in which I should not be able to talk.

**Phew! The floor is dry. I have to continue.

  1. Hey lady! Remember you have a L&D nurse living right across the 'street' from you! Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything. I'll let you know when you should go to the hosptial :)
