Spring Break-Countdown to Emma--Day Two

Man, yesterday took a whole lot out of me! I took a nap late in the afternoon, woke up, ate, and went back to bed. Not without incident of course. As I went to brush my teeth, the faucet on my sink exploded sending water everywhere! Luckily, Jonathan was able to quickly remedy the situation and we are going to have to buy a new faucet. Needless to say, it took me a few minutes to wind down and get to bed.

This morning I slept in. I haven't had a sleep that good in awhile and did not see the need to get out of bed. We had a small list today.

First up, we went to see 'Hall Pass.' It was ok, not anything spectacular that we will ever rent or own, but it was a cute comedy and it got us to use our gift passes. I ran into a previous students' parent in the bathroom which is always a delight. Needless to say, I was suckered into a conversation and she walked out of the bathroom with me. I appreciate that she remembered me, but I was in a bathroom for goodness sake!

Second... the Queen Creek Olive Mill. Ah, love. I've been asking Jonathan to take me there for a few weeks. It was pretty busy, as could be expected for a Sunday. We were able to grab something to eat fairly quickly, which included my new obsession, the virgin chocolate chip cookie made with EVOO instead of butter. Holy Lord. They are so delicious. After, of course, I had to use the ladies before I did my olive oil shopping. The women were so sweet and let me go ahead of them seeing me very pregnant and very much in need of a bathroom. They also made comments on how great I looked, which I was thankful for. After leaving my new friends, I went to get some shopping done. I had a list and a husband to help me. I grabbed my EVOO, roasted garlic olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and garlic parmesan crema which I don't know what to use with yet, but I'm sure I will figure it out. They were having a wine tasting and I made a mental note to come back with a group of girls... While we were checking out, the two girls a the counter recounted how they were both almost TWO WEEKS LATE having their first baby... Oh Lord, help me.

Then, Home Depot for a new faucet. I don't know what it is about that place, but I love the smell. It's strange, but I do.

Made it back home and I had to get to the couch! Tired and needed a rest. Jonathan's nesting instinct is still in full force. He's currently outside doing whatever guys do and Kobe is helping. I'm happy to stay inside at this point and catch up on reruns of 'Sister Wives'.

My 'day' is over, as after 3pm I am useless. The rest of this glorious afternoon will be spent on the couch, online shopping, making lists, and reading. I love Spring Break.
